What are the Basic Components of Computers?





Central Processing Unit (CPU) – Box which contains processor, hard drive and memory. CPU controls the input/output.
Monitor – Is an output device. Signal goes from CPU to monitor ( then displayed on screen).
Keyboard – Is an input device. Sends information into the CPU.
Ram - Contains a series of chips that are the workspace for the processor.
Hard Disk Drive (Hard Drive) – disk which psychically stores all files. This is where everything is saved no matter on or off.
Solid State Drive (SSD) – Chips which can be accessed from within the hard drive quicker than normal disks.
