Binary Code

What is Binary Code?

Binary code is a coding system using the binary digits of 0 and 1.
These numbers can represent letters, digits or other characters
by being arranged in different orders. This code uses base 2.
Overall, binary code is computer processor instructions.

How does Binary Code work?

Binary numbers use the same rule as the decimal system –
‘the value of any digit always depends on its position in the whole number’.
In our number system, base 10, every time a number moves to the left it
increases by the power of 10. However, in binary code, base two
is used so each time a number moves to the left it increases by the power of two.
This means to find the binary code/number you
look at the figures placement and add up it’s value.
